There are a number of issues that troubled teens get involved with. These can range from mild cases of truancy to severe drug addictions. A lot of parents make the mistake in thinking that these behaviors are normal teen behaviors. This is very common for parents to think this - trying to minimize the severity of the issue. The fact is that recurring problems are not normal.
If your family is dealing with teen drug abuse - we can help find a residential treatment center ASAP for your teen. These are specialized centers licensed by the state to care for teens. We also have options such as specialty boarding schools for troubled teens that deal with other issues such as teen gambling - which is a growing problem these days.
There are large differences in programs for troubled youth. RTCs include a therapeutic component which military schools and behavior modification programs don't include. RTCs can be better for those who are involved with drugs, cutting, sexual issues, and more severe issues. Behavior modification programs can be great for teens involved in vandalism and other general truancy issues.
If your teen is exhibiting any of the behavior above or having other issues at home, school, or ??? Give us a call! We can help you explore in-home options as well as residential placement. Let us explain the differences in types of schools and programs so you can make the best decision for your teen.

Parents and Teens Summer Problems
Dear Parents,
The School year is quickly coming to a close throughout the country and in many parts it already has ended.
At some point throughout the School year you have contacted www.HelpForParents.com as a result of your son or daughter's decisions, behaviors, and attitude. Most are going to be ending the School year flunking or just barley passing.
If you are interested in pursuing some lasting change and not having them sitting around the house or running around town all summer, you are invited to contact us to pursue out of home placement.
This may be your chance and that final push you needed to move forward with getting your son or daughter the help they are crying out for.
As many of you know our Schools operate all year. This means their Academics Dept. do not close down for the Summer, this is a great opportunity for your son or daughter to go back and make up classes that they earned very poor grades in, they will finally be in a healthy atmosphere and away from their negative friends.
I hope this reaches you well, and please know you are always welcome and encouraged to contact us.
Kindly,
Lisa C.

Are you happy with the way your child will be ending or has ended the School year?
Is this summer going to be productive for your son or daughter?
Is this going to be more of the same? Worse?
How do you feel about the current group of friends?
Are you willing to be proactive with your child’s life and get them the help they need?
